One of C-Questor’s declared corporate objectives is to: “co-operate with the work of governments, international organisations, parastatal bodies, NGO’s, charities, pension funds, landowners, and aid agencies in implementing anti-global warming strategies.” Whilst there are many projects that C-Questor manages itself we perceive that there are many benefits in sharing knowledge and skills to produce better and more effective results. As a general rule, our projects are good for nature and good for people. We seek to optimise the advantages to both. By restoring widely varied vegetation, including trees and perennial plants, the quality of soil is improved, animals flourish - protecting biodiversity - jobs are created, and the local food supply is improved.
In order to boost our collective effectiveness, we have established links with a number of organisations, specifically including Danfonds, which is working with C-Questor on the establishment of a fund under the Frontier Markets umbrella, and Forest Research, the research agency of The Forestry Commission. Also among our partners in this climate change initiative are our franchise holders. We are always open to working with new partners so long as cooperation brings advantages to both parties. We are particularly keen to have the co-operation of NGOs who already have the respect of locals, and whose actions take account of the environment. This will allow us to do more than would be possible if all parts of the operation were handled in a purely commercial manner.
